Australia's plea for help!
This week I’ve taken some time off from Etsy to help out a wonderful group that was set up to help the wildlife in Australia, The group U.K crafters for Australias Wildlife Rescue Effort was set up to encourage people all around the world to come together to knit, crochet and sew lots of different items.
I am currently sewing these little Joey pouches in XXS and XS. I’ve only made a handful but hoping that in the next few days, I’ll manage to whip up a few more!
There are loads of hubs that have popped up all across the U.K in an effort to help to save on postage but also to collate all of the items which will make it easier to ship to Australia.
These little pouches come together so quickly and don’t use up much fabric at all. I’ve been using up loads of scraps of cotton and my stash of fat quarters. All of the information on how to contribute, sew, knit or crochet are all on the group including local hubs, patterns and how they are managing to organise such an amazing thing!
