My First Jumpsuit!

I’m not usually a big fan of jumpsuits if I’m honest. I was selected to sew this jumpsuit up for “Wacky Wednesday” (where 6 patterns are on sale for just $1 each!) over at Ellie and Mac. I was a bit nervous at first as it’s not something I thought I’d wear, however, that’s one thing that I absolutely love about being a pattern tester; you have the ability to sew something that you wouldn’t usually wear. As soon as I saw this jumpsuit I knew exactly what fabric I wanted to buy. This is another big change for me! I never wear white or bright colours and I try to avoid anything too bold but since it’s coming up to summer I thought I’d go all out and try something new and boy am I glad I did!

I was expecting to have some hiccups along the way, but to my suprise, it sewed in one hit! No unpicking! The fabric that I chose to use is this gorgeous Viscose jersey from The Little Fabric Bazaar (link to the exact fabric as shown above). I found this pattern to be extremely flattering and, believe it or not, easy to get out of when you have to go to the little girl’s room! I have now bought another two jumpsuits to try out! I’m going to attempt to mash two Ellie and Macs patterns together to create a unique jumpsuit as I really like the bodice of this one and the legs on the Hip Hop Romper. No clue on how it’s going to turn out as this will be my first time mashing two patterns together. I will keep you posted on how it turns out!
